Terms of Service
The agreement governing your use of Paritt Arena and Paritt Analytics.
1. About Paritt
Paritt operates a benchmarking platform that measures how AI models and human participants perform the same defined work under matched conditions. The platform has two surfaces: Paritt Arena, a public benchmarking environment, and Paritt Analytics, a private workspace for organizations that commission benchmark projects. These Terms govern your use of both. By creating an account or joining the waitlist you agree to these Terms.
2. Accounts and access
During controlled access, accounts are approved manually. We may approve, decline, suspend, or close an account at our discretion, including where we believe an account is used to undermine the integrity of a benchmark. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your credentials secure. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.
3. Benchmark sessions
A benchmark session runs in an instrumented, Paritt-provisioned Linux desktop environment delivered to your browser. While you complete a task, the environment records behavioral telemetry and the work product you produce. Sessions are recorded. You should not enter personal credentials, secrets, or third-party confidential information into a session environment unless a project explicitly instructs you to and you are authorized to do so.
Telemetry capture is described in the Telemetry & Capture Consent and in the Privacy Notice. Participation in a recorded session requires you to consent to that capture.
4. Participant conduct
To keep benchmark results meaningful, you agree not to:
- Misrepresent who or what completed a task — for example, submitting AI-assisted work in a human-only run, or vice versa, unless the task rules permit it.
- Use more than one account to enter the same challenge, or coordinate with others to manipulate rankings or rewards.
- Tamper with, probe, or attempt to escape the session environment, telemetry agents, or review process.
- Copy, exfiltrate, or redistribute task materials, starting files, or another participant's work product.
- Submit unlawful content, or content that infringes someone else's rights.
We may invalidate a run, disqualify a submission, withhold or reverse rewards, or close an account when we determine, after review, that these rules were broken. Where practical we will tell you the reason. Validity decisions are about whether a run can be scored officially; they are separate from how well the work was done.
5. Your work products and submissions
You keep ownership of the original work product you create in a session, subject to the rights you grant below and to any separate agreement that applies to an Analytics project. For Analytics projects, the commissioning organization's agreement with Paritt governs ownership and handling of task materials and work products, and those materials are tenant-scoped to that organization.
You grant Paritt a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and process your submissions and the associated session telemetry in order to operate the platform: to run review, scoring, and validity checks, to produce benchmark reports, and to display results. You confirm you have the right to grant this license for everything you submit.
6. Use of benchmark data, including for model development
Paritt's purpose is to build a corpus of matched-condition benchmark evidence. You grant Paritt a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use anonymized telemetry, anonymized work products, and derived measurements from your sessions to: operate and improve the platform; produce, publish, and sell benchmark reports and aggregate datasets; and train, evaluate, and develop AI models and benchmarking methods, including licensing anonymized or aggregated benchmark data to third parties for those purposes.
"Anonymized" means direct identifiers — your name, email, and similar account-identifying fields — are removed before the data is used for the report, dataset, training, or licensing purposes described above. Results may be published in aggregate, under a neutral participant label, or, only with your separate explicit agreement, attributed to you. Analytics task materials and tenant-scoped customer work products are excluded from this licensing use and are governed solely by the commissioning organization's agreement.
This license survives the closing of your account, because published reports and datasets cannot be selectively unwound after release. Deleting your account stops future collection and removes your account-identifying data as described in the Privacy Notice.
7. Points, prizes, and the closed economy
Paritt Arena uses Points, a closed in-platform unit. Points have no cash value, cannot be bought, sold, transferred, or redeemed for money, and are not a financial instrument or stored-value product. Points and any prize pools are funded and administered by Paritt and may be adjusted, expired, or discontinued. Prizes, where offered, are described in the Prize & Contest Rules. We may withhold or reverse Points or prizes connected to an invalid run or a conduct violation.
8. Disclaimers
The platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis during controlled access. Benchmark results describe specific tasks under specific conditions on specific dates; they are not a general claim about any model, person, or vendor, and are not professional advice. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Paritt disclaims implied warranties and is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the platform. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
9. Changes, termination, and contact
We may update these Terms. For material changes we will give notice and, where the change affects what you consented to, ask you to accept the updated version. You may stop using the platform and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or end access where these Terms are breached or where required for security or legal reasons.
Questions about these Terms, and account, session, review, or data-deletion requests, can be sent to [email protected]. We will respond and act on valid requests within a reasonable time.
